The defendants of Tesla Arson will face the “total force of the law” for allegedly using Molotov cocktails to set fire to electric vehicles and load stations, the attorney general Pam Bondi said Thursday in a statement.
“The days of committing crimes without consequences have ended,” Bondi said in a statement. “That this is a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla Properties, the Department of Justice will put it behind bars.”
Bondi refers to the three people accused of their alleged participation in recent attacks against Tesla’s properties in Salem, Oregon; Loveland, Colorado; and Charleston, South Carolina.

Recent attacks directed to Tesla have also been informed in Seattle, Kansas City, Las Vegas and other cities of the United States since the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, began its role with the efficiency department of the Trump administration government.
The defendant in Oregon was arrested after launching approximately “eight Molotov cocktails on a Tesla concessionaire located in Salem, Oregon” and was also armed with an AR-15 “suppressed” rifle, according to the statement.
The second incendiary was arrested in Loveland, Colorado, after trying to “turn on flames with Molotov cocktails.” Later, the defendant was found “in possession of materials used to produce additional incendiary weapons,” said the Department of Justice.
The third defendant who mentions the statement is an individual in Charleston, South Carolina, who wrote “profane messages against President Trump around Tesla’s charge stations before lighting the burden on fire stations with Molotov cocktails,” said the Department of Justice.
“Each defendant faces serious charges with a minimum penalty of five years and up to 20 years in prison. The Department of Justice undertakes to put an end to all acts of violence and a fire caused to Tesla Properties and otherwise,” the statement said.
Florida’s attorney general James Uthmeier said that police officers involved successfully to avoid any damage can obtain “a salary increase and a promotion.”
“If you are an agent of the law in Florida and interferes with someone and prevents a tesla from hurting, come to look for me and try to obtain a salary increase and promotion,” Uthmeier said in Fox News on Thursday morning.
Uthmeier also said that police officers patrol Tesla’s dealers.
“They were going to enforce the law in Florida, I would hold the people responsible. If you try to hurt one of these cars, I would move you away,” Uthmeier said.
Musk said Thursday that the company has increased security throughout the country in response to vandalism acts.
